So last week there was a lot of excitement amongst technical geek types (many of whom of course are or should be Ultimate players) about the new Apple iPad.
We imagine the conversation going something like this:
Technogeek: "Wow - the new iPad looks AWESOME! What do you think it will mean for Ultimate?"
Ultimate Player: "I dunno mate - it doesn't look like it'll fly real well."

It's slick and loaded with spin, I reckon it'd fly fine, especially for players who care more about appearances ;)

Will having a little Eastburn stop Mattie from being the first in Brisbane to have one?
Indeed, will the lack of a video camera to facilitate sideline replays to resolve rules arguments (in his favour of course) be a discouragement?
Here's a possible iPad app I'd like to see.
Scoreboard.
The app looks like an Ultimate scoreboard. You prop your iPad up on the sideline and people can flick a section of the screen forwards or backwards to add to the score.
I should patent that idea quick.
I can see that leading to many broken/water damaged ipads JdR.
I think it will make keeping a massive stats log much easier if you wanted to keep stats on a game. It's big enough that you could have both teams with the full team list and a bunch of columns for different stats.
