How about we either A) Tally the scores ourselves in each BPL comment section. B) Get JDR to put tally in the BPL post.
My tips are: Messy, Passion, Dojo.
Scoring for tipping: - Each correct tip is +1/3 points. - Each incorrect tip is -1/3 points.
So the highest score you can get each week is one, and the lowest is -1. If you miss a week, then you miss out on the chance to go more positive, but you also will avoid going negative, meaning you can join in at any time.
But that means that people will not tip if there are close games they feel may make then go into the negative. I think it is just based on a simple percentage, and you have to tip for at least 5 of the 10 rounds (same criteria that applies to being eligible for the BPL finals).
This week is too easy (especially after Al conveniently emailed us a UQ form guide today). Oh, also thanks to John Mac for revealing that he expects to be spanked by Slippery tonight. And let's face it, John can easily make a throwaway or 5 look like a near-miss in the endzone if Passion open up too much of a lead...
Which makes me think - JDR, should there also be a rule that one can't tip against one's own team??? We don't want BPL going the way of international cricket matches...
So, the tips: Messy, Slippery, Dojo.
If my rule suggestion above is accepted I reserve the right to change my Slippery tip to Passion. Or if Buzz turns up before the game and plays (despite not being registered) my tip automatically changes to Passion no matter what.
Okay - given that posting against one's own team is okay by the rules (no matter how ethically wrong it may be!), I'm tipping Slippery because John did. He must know something.
Freaking heck, I'm on 33% already, (Messy did win right?) Would have been sweet to upset Dojo with our new team after those comments about our form, but alas a few more weeks experience at this level are required.

Jdr, Any update on a tipping scoreboard or anything similar?

LETS GO SEASON 2!
My tips are
Messy
Passion
Dojo Mojo
Seems like week 1 is going to be a stalemate unless anyone else hops on the tipping gravytrain
will-i-am
1 pt for correct tip. Simple and people can't argue it.
My Tips for this week:
Messy, Passion, Lovers.
My tips:
Rawhide
Passion
Dojo
We'll just stick to the 1 point per tip, minimum half the season to qualify, percentage thing.
Messy Passion Lovers
Messy, Slippry, Dojo.
Someone has to go against the trend... even if it's at my own team's tipping expense.
(sorry Rawhide, not willing to go quite that far against the trend...)

That ought to cause a fuss.
You can post against your own team. End of discussion.
Sensei, clarify your tips. At this stage you are getting Messy, Slippery, Dojo.
Post is obviously meant to be tip.
messy, passion, dojo

I won't be happy if Buzz turns up though.
My picks are, Messy , Passion , DOJO
