I'm not sure if printing the accumulated spirit scores each week is going to make the final spirit winners very interesting.
Was there any reason that spirit scores are being made public?
Strikes me as a little strange, which is fine, the world's a very strange place at times.
But I can't actually see having them public achieves anything either?
aL - meet Steve Cameron, who has campaigned long and hard for weekly posting of spirit scores. Stu has decided to trial it for a while.
Stu - I am sure that printing the accumulated spirit scores each week will mean the loss of an element of surprise during end of season presentations. And yes, that will be lost, but its against whatever anyone reckons is gained. I guess if we're trialling and experimenting, then we may as well go the whole hog.
This also adds to challenge for teams giving each other spirit to focus on the game they just played, rather than external factors.
I think even if everyone knows who won by the end of the season, Stu's announcements will be surprising nonetheless.
