Whoa! I did not expect this. It's making me get all teary. I'm not sure what kind of other word for painful vagina AKITD makes, but it's A Knife in the Dark. The story goes...it was a long hard game, the very first of the season. Team unknown 1 was on a huge comeback against team unknown 2. The score had just reached 12 a piece. Game to 13. A half field throw went up (from unknown team 1) and was immediately chased after by a player from that team and his defender. While the disc was still in the air, the lights went out. Thankfully it was caught and team unknown 1 came away with a win. A Knife in the Dark was born.
It is not often we bother to explain our pop cultural references here, but A Knife in the Dark is the title of a chapter of Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring. But then we couldn't find a decent picture of a Black Rider quickly, so went with the Eye of Sauron.

Some folks will tip anything.
I was excited for a while that the Cobras were the first State-wide Ultimate club, but it appears to be a coincidence.
Rojo, AKITD, Hatters in an upset, Tie Dyes
Mansauce
Who is this mysterious other Pete tipping...just for the record, unless his tips are 100% correct it isn't me.
Well if history is anything to go by, I would say are wrong!

Congrats to NotPete, for tipping 3 from 4, and winning the tipping comp over Mansauce, who got 2 from 4.
Hmmm, I'm not sure if quoting chapter titles from The Lord of the Rings can be counted as Popular Culture; Geek culture maybe!
