Sheesh... I thought last season was great for being so close and unpredictable but this one is a cut above.
It says a lot for the league that a team which would have waltzed into the semis pre-2010 will have to come 5th and miss out this time (no disrespect to Heroes - their time will come).
A prediction for the 2nd half of the season:
Cobras: watch out for these guys - regaining Reece and picking up Cunliffe (if I heard correctly last night) will provide a massive boost. They are new favourites for mine, provided their gun players turn up consistently.
Bugs: sleeping giants of the competition, but everyone already knows that.
Dojo: slow and steady wins the minor premiership race.
UQ: form and attendance continue to follow a sine curve - will need to find some consistency.
Havent seen SFC or Heroes play yet.
On another note - in the "spirit" of open spirit scores, can anyone from Cobras give some feedback (here or by email) on how UQ can better 6.5 out of 10?
