How many weeks do you need to tip to stay in the running? A smart punter would stay well away from this week's round.
I mean - have a look at the official team rosters. Slippry & Rawhide have 5 players which in theory makes them completely unbackable, but then who will really turn up? And then Messy minus Mike drew with the on-paper unbeatable Lovers last week... All to confusing. Think I'll sit this one out.
Wetnose, if you know something we don't please feel free to share!
Nice try Sensei, but I reckon you're just trying to avoid tipping because you know that Dojo, even with their impressively choreographed pulls, is no match for the new-look Lovers, and you don't want to tip against your own team after slamming me for doing just that last season. Am I right?
As per the rules posted before season 2 this year (see http://brisbaneultimatedisc.blogspot.com/2008/06/bpl-tipping.html) you must tip for at least 6 rounds to be eligible. This figure may be adjusted at my discretion if enough rounds are cancelled due to rain.
Hey Julz - the Dojo win over Lovers was the only pick I felt confident with. Okay, I was feeling pretty sure about a Messy win as well...
It's just that with all you guys deserting poor old Johnny Mac I've no idea what to expect from Passion this season, and after Dojo rolled a distinctly sub-par Slippry last week, well, who can say. All it takes is for Mike to come back from holidays and Mat to dispense with an evening's parenting duties and Slippry could easily do the business. But will they?
But now looking at it I can see that will-i-am is tipping against himself, so that seals it:
ps Thanks for the rule check Wetnose (although I was really hoping for some intel on this week's Messy/Slippry lineup). BTW have I missed an announcement somewhere about the winner of last season's tipping comp? Or are you still trying to devise a weighting system ("at your own discretion", as you say) that somehow puts you out in front???
